This tutorial is about creating the logos I use on my websites. For the pages that look like this, you can use the tutorial that starts here. For the other pages, you can find the tutorial below.
1. Start Paint.NET
2. Create a new image (Ctrl + N) with size 600x150 pixels
3. Press Ctrl + A and then press Delete. Now you’ll have an empty transparent image.
4. Create another image (Ctrl + N), this has sizes 600x73 pixels. Also delete this image’s background (see 3).
5. Click on Text, set the color to orange (#FF6A00), the font to Jimbow’s[1] and the size to 72 pt. Also set the alignment to center.
6. Now click on the image at exactly 300, 35 and enter the name of the page (e.g. Tutorials).
7. Click on the magic wand. Set the flood mode to global and click on one of the characters you’ve just entered.
8. Add a new layer.
9. Click on the gradient button. Set the primary color to red and the secondary color to fully transparent (alpha = 0).
10. Draw a gradient from 200, 73 to 200, 0. Now deselect (Ctrl + D) and merge the layer down.
11. Go to Effects > Photo and click on Glow. Set the radius to 1, the brightness to 0 and the contrast to 0.
12. Now press Ctrl + A (select all) and Ctrl + C (copy). Switch your screen to the image we created in the first step and paste (Ctrl + V).
13. Move the just pasted image to the point where the top left coordinate is 0, 60.
14. Create another new image (Ctrl + N) with size 600x37 and delete its background (see 3).
15. Click on Text, set the color to #0044FF, the font to Jimbow’s[1] and the size to 36 pt. Also set the alignment to center. At 300, 16, enter Jimbow’s.
16. Use the magic wand as in step 7 and add a new layer.
17. Draw a gradient with primary color #0000AF and secondary color transparent from 200, 37 to 200, 0.
18. Deselect (Ctrl + D) and merge the layer down.
19. Apply the glow effect as described in step 11.
20. Select the whole image (Ctrl + A), copy it (Ctrl + C) and past it into the image we’ve created in step 1. Move the pasted image until its left top coordinate is -185, 10.
21. The image is completed, all you have to do is save it (Ctrl + S).

10. Draw a gradient from 200, 61 to 200, 0. Now deselect (Ctrl + D) and merge the layer down.

16. Use the magic wand as in step 7 and add a new layer.
17. Draw a gradient with primary color #0000AF and secondary color transparent from 200, 31 to 200, 0.
18. Deselect (Ctrl + D) and merge the layer down.
19. Apply the glow effect as described in step 11.
20. Select the whole image (Ctrl + A), copy it (Ctrl + C) and past it into the image we’ve created in step 1. Move the pasted image until its left top coordinate is -155, 3.
21. The image is completed, all you have to do is save it (Ctrl + S).
